Fans of the Seattle Seahawks may recall Jadeveon Clowney's ongoing saga during the 2020 NFL free agency period.
The Seahawks were unable to strike an agreement with Clowney after trading for him prior to the start of the 2019 season.
Clowney was given the $15 million franchise tag by Houston prior to the trade.Clowney's uncertain future has been an annual summer storyline,
as the pass rusher signed a one-year deal with the Titans for 2020. It would be the first of three consecutive one-year contracts for Clowney,
who never received the lucrative long-term contract that he sought when negotiating with Seattle.Clowney is still a free agent with weeks till the start of the 2023 season
and has recently been sought by two AFC contenders: the Jaguars and the Ravens. Clowney met with Jacksonville on August 13, 2023, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.
According to CBS Sports' Josina Anderson, Clowney had visited the Ravens in August and was offered a contract.
"I'm told free agent DE Jadeveon Clowney received an offer from the Ravens and is taking some time to think about it, per source," Anderson tweeted on August 9.
